The battle with Thanos sheds light on why Eternals’ Starfox (Harry Styles) would be interested in joining the ranks of the Avengers in the MCU. In the comic books, the powerful Titan is known for more than just being the brother of Thanos. For a significant period in the 1980s, Starfox was a reliable member of the main Avengers team.
Eternals’ two post-credits scenes have provided MCU introductions for not one, but two major members of Marvel’s Avengers team. Both Dane Whitman aka Black Knight and Starfox have deep ties to the group that could be important in future MCU installments. As for Starfox in particular, it’s not clear if and when he’ll be back in the MCU, but his one scene in the film suggests that he’s the Eternals’ best chance of saving Sersi, Kingo, and Phastos from the Celestials. However, a rescue mission in a potential Eternals 2 may be far from the extent of what Marvel has planned for his character. His Marvel Comics history makes him one of many candidates to join Earth’s Mightiest Heroes in The Avengers 5.

Why Starfox becomes an Avenger could be heavily linked to his brother and the events of Avengers: Endgame. In the movie, the team killed Thanos and reversed the snap. In doing so, the Avengers likely became legends. How he’s presented in both the comics and the movie indicates that this would mean a great deal to Styles’ MCU character. The grand introduction that Pip the Troll gave Starfox and all the accomplishments he named off gave the impression that Starfox values his reputation as a galactic hero.
