As is the trend now with many films, even those outside the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the newly released Uncharted movie has two post-credits scenes. The purpose of the scenes was clear, as they set up a potential sequel and more adventures for the main protagonists. Director Ruben Fleischer broke down the main scene, which features Nathan Drake and Victor Sullivan, and reiterated the friendship between the two.
In the Uncharted post-credits scene, Tom Holland's Drake seems to be making a deal with Pilou Asbæk’s Gage, who isn’t a recognizable character. When the character double crosses him, Mark Wahlberg's Sullivan, a.k.a Sully, bursts into the room and saves his partner. The scene acts as fan service for many reasons, but Fleischer wanted to confirm to fans that Nathan Drake and Sully's partnership will carry forward.

The Uncharted movie only sets up the beginning of Drake and Sully's journey, and they clearly have a long way to go. Fleischer, during an interview with Entertainment Weekly, wanted to let fans know that the movie “wasn't the end of the Nate and Sully story, and that they would carry on their friendship — their partnership — on further adventures.” In the games, the duo go on further treasure hunts and even find Drake's older brother, Sam. While they reference the character in the film, he only appears momentarily in the mid-credits scene and is seen holed up in a prison cell.
