Rudy Pankow, star of Netflix’s adventure series Outer Banks, teases his character's season 3 story. The show follows a gang of teenagers called the Pogues living in the Outer Banks of North Carolina, who investigate the disappearance of their ringleader’s father and discover a legendary treasure along the way. Also starring Chase Stokes, Madelyn Cline, and Madison Bailey, Outer Banks first premiered in April 2020 and was renewed for a second season the following July. In Outer Banks, Pankow portrays JJ Maybank, the reckless but loyal best friend of protagonist John B, whose brash behavior is only matched by his devotion to the Pogues.
