Another new word is ready to be solved and today's answer shouldn't be too difficult for most fans of the game. There is always a possibility that a bad starting word could cause you to quickly run out of guesses before you realize it. That is why it's best to be consistent with your starting word, this way, you know exactly where to go forward with whatever clues are given.
There are many different tips and tricks to help solve puzzles. One of the more popular methods is to use two starting words which is a great way to cover all the vowels in one go. Word combos like IRATE and POUND hit a lot of the most common consonants and all of the major vowels. Using this every day does waste a guess, but can help solve the puzzle quicker in the long run.
Before we fully spoil today's answer we wanted to provide a few hints to help out anyone who may be struggling a bit.
Hint 1
There are no repeating letters.
Hint 2
The answer is used as a noun.
Hint 3
The vowels are in the 2nd and 4th positions.
Hint 4
The greatest food on earth.
The December 17th answer is BACON.
For our starting word we tried IRATE which only provided a single misplaced 'A' and a chunk of incorrect letters. Moving them around a bit our second attempt was PACKS. This locked in the 'A' and added a new correct 'C'.
Bouncing off of those hints we tried NACHO as the third guess, this gave us the 'N' and 'O' in the wrong positions and set us up for a decent win. Our last guess gave us the win-in-four with the correct answer, and best food, BACON.
