With such a shared history, it's only natural they would cross paths in Tribute Games' latest homage.
Canadian-based developer Tribute Games is a studio worthy of its namesake, as most of its titles are tributes to the retro experiences of the past. Its newest release TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge is as accurate a tribute as it gets and returns players to the height of TMNT’s video game popularity. Similar to publisher Dotemu's revival of Streets of Rage 4, Shredder's Revenge allows players to thrash their way through New York City as one of the Ninja Turtles or another iconic TMNT character in classic side-scrolling beat 'em up action refined for modern gaming. Polished gameplay aside, much of the novelty of Shredder's Revenge comes from encountering the multitude of Easter eggs attributed to TMNT's legacy. From little background effects, cameos, and even the enemy lineup, Tribute Games made sure long-time TMNT fans would find something to appreciate.
