Krang is back to try and destroy the world in the first Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Movie trailer. The film acts as a sequel to the eponymous animated series, which offered a different spin on the characters as they name themselves the Mad Dogs and have mystical powers. The Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series ran for two seasons on Nickelodeon with Ben Schwartz leading the cast as Leonardo alongside Omar Benson Miller as Raphael, Brandon Mychal Smith as Michelangelo, Josh Brener as April O'Neil and Eric Bauza as Splinter.
Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Movie picks up two years after the series finale and sees the Mad Dogs continuing their crimefighting in New York City and are confronted by Casey Jones, voiced by Haley Joel Osment, who was sent from the future by the turtles with a warning of an incoming threat. The group gather to face the incoming threat, the alien threat known as the Krang, who intend on destroying the world and recreating it in their image. Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Movie is set to hit Netflix next month and audiences are finally getting a look at what's to come from the show's sequel.
