In Tim Drake's Robin's newest team-up with his ex-girlfriend, Batgirl Stephanie Brown, he comes out to her as bisexual in an extremely touching moment between the heroes. In DC Pride: Tim Drake Special #1 by DC Comics, Drake apologizes to Batgirl for not reaching out to her sooner and telling her about coming out while admitting his feelings for her were always real. The conversation highlights a unique part of the queer experience not often seen in comics.
Tim Drake's Robin came out as bisexual last year, as the hero met his boyfriend Bernard in Batman: Urban Legends #6. Drake had famously been paired with Stephanie Brown's Batgirl over the years but came out after doing some soul-searching and learning more about himself after meeting Bernard and being romantically interested in him. Now, Tim is teaming up with Batgirl, and he explains his journey of self-discovery while apologizing for not telling her about his new relationship and feelings sooner.
