Warning: spoilers ahead for The Amazing Spider-Man #5!
In the latest issue of Marvel Comics' The Amazing Spider-Man, Peter Parker is using a brand new method of crime-fighting in New York that's pretty surprising. Recently, Spider-Man's main rival has been the crime boss Tombstone who's made it his mission to teach the Webslinger a lesson. However, Spider-Man has finally managed to turn the tables on the Marvel villain, presenting an ultimatum that's more morally grey than fans are used to seeing from Peter Parker.
In previous issues of The Amazing Spider-Man from Zeb Wells and John Romita Jr., Tombstone made it his mission to make Spider-Man his «project». To that end, Spider-Man was beaten and taken to an abandoned subway tunnel while Tombstone claimed he was going to stage an attack and blame it on The Rose (Kingpin's son), his chief rival with whom he's been in an active gang war. Desperate to save innocent lives, Spider-Man broke free and brutally took down all of the men in the building above (believing they were Tombstone's men hadn't left yet). However, they were actually The Rose's men with Spider-Man having been tricked into doing Tombstone's dirty work for him.

Despite being epically bamboozled, Peter does gain the upper hand in the new Amazing Spider-Man #5. Coming to Tombstone's home directly, Spider-Man threatens to out the villain to the rest of New York's crime bosses, promising to claim he now works for Tombstone. Furthermore, he also sent one of The Rose's remaining enforcers to destroy Tombstone's secret supply caches.
