The July line-up of titles coming to the newly-revamped PlayStation Plus includes last year’s Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade and no less than five Assassin’s Creed games. Earlier this year, Sony unveiled its plans to revamp its monthly PS Plus subscription service to better compete with the increasingly popular Xbox Games Pass, introducing a new tier-based system and access to classic titles from the older PlayStation console generations — something that longtime PlayStation fans have been wanting for some time due to the PS4 and PS5 lacking true backward compatibility for anything from the PS3 era or earlier.
This newly-revamped PS Plus finally went live last month, with the first round of titles to be included in the relaunch consisting of a mix of contemporary hits like Assassin's Creed Valhalla and older fan-favorites like Syphon Filter. While some have noted that the new PS Plus currently contains fewer available titles than Sony’s discontinued PS Now service — which previously gave subscribers access to a large catalog of titles while PS Plus offered up monthly giveaways of free games alongside online play — Sony has promised to add more games to the updated PS Plus’s collection in the coming months.

The first line-up of new games coming to PlayStation Plus has just been unveiled on the official PlayStation website, and this inaugural batch of titles will be available to Extra and Premium members starting on July 19. The list includes last year’s Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade, which updated the hit 2020 JRPG for the PlayStation 5 and introduced a new DLC chapter centered around Yuffie, 2020’s Marvel’s Avengers, and even the soon-to-be-released feline
