July 19 was the first major update to PS Plus Extra and Premium’s catalogs, setting a really high bar for future additions. Not only was the viral hitStray released day one on PS Plus Extra, but a ton of other games accompanied it. For Assassin’s Creed fans, this includes what amounts to a total of 7 games.
Furthermore, fans should be aware that more are on the way. It seems Sony intends to announce the Essential Tier on the last Wednesday ahead of the first Tuesday of every month, release those PS Plus games on Tuesday, and then follow up with an announcement and drop for the PS Plus Extra and Premium tiers in the middle of the month.

Included in the PS Plus Extra and Premium Games for July 19 include Assassin’s Creed: The Ezio Collection (which consists of three games: Assassin’s Creed 2, Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood, and Assassin’s Creed Revelation), Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag, Assassin’s Creed Rogue Remastered, Assassin’s Creed Freedom Cry, and Assassin’s Creed Unity.
This means the only current exceptions are Assassin’s Creed 1, Assassin’s Creed 3, Assassin’s Creed Liberation, the Assassin’s Creed Chronicles, Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, Assassin’s Creed Origins, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, and a handful of side games. Indeed, with more Ubisoft games confirmed to come to PS Plus, there’s a foreseeable future where every Assassin’s Creed game could be playable from PS Plus Extra.
