EA has laid out everything fans will want to know about FIFA 23, and it sounds like a massive swansong for the series.
The first gameplay trailer for FIFA 23 has gone live, confirming its release date of September 30 (as was claimed earlier), and thus EA has shared the first real details about what will be its final FIFA game before it changes the name.

As suspected after EA revealed that Chelsea player Sam Kerr would be one of this year’s cover star, FIFA 23 will be the first entry in the series to feature the Women’s Super League and Division 1 Arkema, meaning you can play as women’s club teams and not countries.

FIFA 23 will also feature the Women’s World Cup Australia and New Zealand 2023 alongside the 2022 Qatar World Cup, although details on the former will be shared at a later date.
Another important detail is that FIFA 23 will have crossplay functionality at launch. While FIFA 22 has since received this feature, it was absent when it released last year and is limited to the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S versions.
This time, it will be available across all versions, even the PC and Stadia releases, although it’s restricted to platforms within the same generation. So, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One owners can only play against each other whereas PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PC, and Stadia
