Thor: Love & Thunder is finally set to release this year, and its long-anticipated story wouldn't actually be possible if it were not for Captain America and Vision. Love & Thunder will mark the character's fourth solo film, the most of any MCU character, perfectly accompanying his identity as a legendary god held above all others. Whilst this may be true, it doesn't change the fact that this fourth installment would be impossible without the hand of two former Avengers teammates.
Love & Thunder will finally reintroduce Jane Foster, Thor's love interest, with the character seemingly abandoned after the second movie in the collection, Thor: The Dark World. There were complaints regarding how her character was handled, as well as minor disputes between Natalie Portman and Marvel Studios, but not only will the actress return to the MCU in the upcoming film, but she'll be wielding the mighty hammer Mjolnir.

This storyline is only made possible by the fact that both Vision and Cap have already handled the magical weapon. Vision was worthy of Mjolnir in Avengers: Age of Ultron, nonchalantly picking up the hammer without a trace of understanding as to how Thor would feel about achieving such a feat. Then, famously, Captain America used Mjolnir to fight Thanos in Avengers: Endgame, being teased ever since he nudged the hammer back in Ultron.
Thor's arc in the MCU centrally introduced him as, essentially, a prideful brat. He treasured his strength and felt superior because of his power to wield Mjolnir.
