Love Is Blind 2: Why Shaina Hurley Left The Mexico Trip

Shaina Hurley left Kyle Abrams alone during their couples' retreat trip to Mexico on Love Is Blind season 2 and viewers have been trying to understand why she took such a drastic decision like that. On the show, fans were introduced to Shaina on Love Is Blind as a 32-year-old hairstylist looking for the love of her life. She took a liking to Shayne Jansen in the pods, but Kyle Abrams also got her attention.
As the pods experience in season 2 came to an end, Shaina learned that Shayne proposed to Natalie Lee and she said «yes.» This took Shaina aback given that she thought her connection with Shayne was stronger than anything else. As she dealt with her broken heart, Shaina decided to give Kyle a chance and was pleasantly surprised by the deep conversations they had in the pods. Unfortunately, though, they eventually stumbled upon a potential dealbreaker that Shaina is very religious and Kyle is an atheist.

Despite those clear religious differences, Shaina and Kyle still got engaged in the pods and traveled to Mexico with their co-stars to enjoy a couples' retreat. On the very first night, however, Shaina talked about not being comfortable sleeping in the same bed — or even in the same room — as Kyle. This came up around 7 p.m. at night, which made things even more awkward since she was basically asking him to remove himself from her room while the night was only getting started. The next day, Kyle self-recorded a video revealing that Shaina had left the trip, but he insisted that he wanted to pursue their relationship.
