A new dungeon crawler, has already become one of the top 50 most wishlisted games on Steam after being the most-played demo at Steam's Next Fest. sees players hunt for treasure and battle terrifying monsters across a series of dungeons in either solo or co-op. The fantasy first-person PvPvE title by developer Mithril Interactive was available to play between February 2 and February 12.
On the Discord and in a corresponding Steam blog post, a message from Mithril's developers thanked those who participated in the game's playtest and broke down some of the statistics from the past two weeks. Not only did skyrocket to #1 on the Next Fest charts and jump from the top 500 to the top 50 most wishlisted games on the platform, but it drew in over 19,000 concurrent players and hit a peak of 68,000 viewers on Twitch, which the developer described as "".
Mithril then provided some insight into what's next for the game following this hugely successful playtest, stating that it "." The studio thanked players for their feedback and constructive criticism throughout the demo — which was provided during February 9th's "" event on Discord — and said that it will use this to address any of the challenges that had been identified, promising that "" to guide the future development plans and release strategy for .
Players compared to another dungeon-crawler title, throughout the playtest. As pointed out by IndieGames, both titles used assets from the Unreal marketplace. However, the dynamics of the games, in particular the combat, seem different, with many agreeing that killing enemies is fairly easy in but that PvP combat requires some adjustments and balancing.
