Microsoft’s plans for Xbox Game Pass in January 2024 have come with some big blockbusters of the last few years, but as always, there’s also a few games leaving the subscription service’s library.
The biggest of the bunch is Grand Theft Auto V, with Take Two taking their biggest money spinner of the last decade and bouncing it back and forth between Game Pass and PS Plus. It rejoined PS Plus back in December, and now the license is expiring for Xbox Game Pass on 5th January. Don’t worry, though, it’ll be back on Game Pass later this year, I’m sure.
In the middle of the month, then, there’s four more games leaving, including the two fantastic JRPGs of Persona 4 Golden and Persona 3 Portable. The Persona franchise made its debut on Xbox in late 2022 with Persona 5 Royal, while the earlier entries were given fresh releases for modern consoles in January of last year. Each one was a day and date Xbox Game Pass game, and seemingly licensed for exactly one year.
So wave goodbye to the Persona gangs… but you won’t have to wait too long before you get to greet some of them all over again. Persona 3 Reload is launching on 2nd February, and it’s down as an Xbox Game Pass game!
These are the games leaving Xbox Game Pass over the next couple weeks a fortnight, but as usual, you’ll have until the moment of their departure to snag a 20% membership discount if you want to keep a hold of them.
