Life simulation games, like The Sims, are big business – but there aren’t many of them. Nintendo has dabbled in the sector with rivals like Animal Crossing and Tomodachi Life, and there’s also Disney Dreamlight Valley, but otherwise there’s The Sims 4 and that’s more or less your lot. Life by You, a project led by EA veteran Rod Humble, looks poised to finally enter the potentially profitable arena.
While no systems have been announced just yet, this very much looks like a spiritual successor to The Sims in its first trailer, showing some property customisation and a human character pottering about a kitchen. A full reveal will debut from 9AM PT on 20th March, and presumably platforms will be officially announced there.
We know EA is working on a new version of The Sims, but it’s said that it’s in very early development, and is likely years away. That’s a shame because, despite the continued addition of new content, The Sims 4 is beginning to feel very creaky these days – especially if you’re playing on console, where loading times are long. It’d be nice to get something new on the more powerful PS5.

It does not seems polished enough yet and animations feel kinda chunky. But, guess, it's in the middle of development at the moment, so let's hope for the best.
