Update: It doesn’t really get much more ambitious than Life by You, so it’s perhaps no surprise it’s launching into Early Access on PC before even considering consoles. The game, teased earlier in the year and now officially unveiled, sees you effectively taking control of an entire open world city, where you have the freedom to effectively alter and adapt, well, everything.
To be honest, we’re not overly sold on the more realistic art style, but clearly there’s even more depth and flexibility available here than The Sims 4. That means it’s likely to launch pretty buggy, but it’ll be interesting to see how this expands and evolves over the course of its lifespan.

A full reveal will debut from 9AM PT on 20th March, and presumably platforms will be officially announced there.
We know EA is working on a new version of The Sims, but it’s said that it’s in very early development, and is likely years away. That’s a shame because, despite the continued addition of new content, The Sims 4 is beginning to feel very creaky these days – especially if you’re playing on console, where loading times are long.
