Netflix has officially unveiled the release date for Season 2 with a slew of first-look photos showing Noah Centineo‘s return as CIA lawyer Owen Hendricks.
The second season of the spy thriller is set to throw Centineo’s Owen Hendricks into yet another dangerous situation, this time in South Korea. It will pick up after the cliffhanger ending from the first season.
“He has just witnessed Max — the former CIA asset whom he almost died multiple times trying to protect — get shot by her daughter Nichka. Owen is wondering how in the hell he is going to survive the next few seconds of his life,” Centineo told Tudum.
The Recruit Season 2 is scheduled to arrive on the streamer on January 3, 2025, over two years after the first season debuted in 2022. The second season was supposed to come out early, though it was delayed by the Hollywood strikes.
Centineo will be joined by Past Lives star Teo Yoo as The Recruit newcomer Teo Yoo. The award-winning actor will be playing Jang Kyun Kim, a skilled South Korean NIS agent “with a subversive sense of humor.”
Nathan Fillion, who made a guest appearance in Season 1, is also returning as CIA Director Alton West.
