Titans recently got clobbered by the Nerf hammer, with Banner of War as a notable casualty, but it’s not all bad news. The Peregrine Grieves received a massive buff in the Season of the Wish, enabling the most ‘Titan’ playstyle the Vanguard has ever seen.

A user on the Destiny 2 subreddit posted a short video of an Unstoppable Abomination falling to a single well-placed Shield Bash. It’s a sight to behold, and it’s thanks to a few changes in the Destiny 2 patch notes:
Peregrine Grieves
The Exotic effect of the Peregrine Grieves is called Peregrine Strike, which grants increased damage on an airborne Shield Bash.
If you want to try this out for yourself, you must use the Grieves in a particular way. Using the Void subclass with the Bastion and Offensive Bulwark Aspects. These Aspects grant an overshield when you cast your Barricade, and you gain increased melee damage with that extra protection.
To send your enemies to the shadow realm, cast your Barricade to gain an overshield. Then, do an airborne Shield Bash for a super-powered attack. It’s simple enough, although it may take some time to get comfortable executing the Shield Bash in mid-air.
I’m sure that in time, theory-crafting geniuses in the Destiny community will figure out the perfect loadout to use the Peregrine Grieves to their fullest. Until then, these spicy boots are still a ton of fun if you’re a Titan looking for something new to play with.
