With The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom being fully playable on PC thanks to the Yuzu and Ryujinx emulators, it didn't take long for the first mods for the latest entry in the series by Nintendo to get released online that introduce visual and performance improvements, among other things.
Another one of these mods, which can be downloaded from Game Banana, introduces a higher FOV value for most camera views, including on-foot and on-horse cameras. As the original version of the mod didn't work well with the bow camera, modder Silentverge released an over-the-shoulder bow cam update which works quite well with the higher FOV value introduced in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom by the mod.
As mentioned above, many are the mods that were released so far for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Among the most useful is the Dynamic FPS mod, which prevents the game from slowing down whenever FPS drops. This mod is incredibly useful not only for those running the game with the 60 FPS mod but also for those whose machines can't keep up with the game and are unable to provide a steady 30 or 60 FPS framerate. This mod also helps the game's emulation on Steam Deck a lot, as, right now, the portable console by Valve cannot run the game at a steady 30 FPS.
No matter which format The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is played on, it is an excellent game that deserves to be experienced by fans of the series and newcomers alike, thanks to one of the best open-world ever made, as highlighted by Nathan in his review.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is now available on Nintendo Switch worldwide.
