The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is receiving so many mods that it is becoming difficult to track them all. Among the most interesting mods released so far are those that improve the game's visuals and performance, and a new one that has been released publicly earlier this week brings the game's visuals to new heights.
Smerfcy recently released their ray tracing mod, which is using ReShade in conjunction with quINT motion vectors and NiceGuy-Shaders Nice Guy Lighting to bring ray tracing to the latest entry in the Nintendo series. The mod's current version, which can be downloaded by going here, features better stability and improves performance and color banding in the sky.
While this The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom ray tracing mod is still in an early stage of development, it is undeniable that it looks great, as highlighted by the comparison screenshots, which can be found here (switch between the Before and After tabs to see all screenshots in the album) Not only is lighting noticeably better, especially in dark areas like the Depths, but the mod also removes the yellowish tint that permeates the vanilla game's visuals.
