Getting a horse is a key component in any Zelda game, and this is no less the case in . You will not get a horse right away, but you can find one as you progress the story. There is also a chance for you to get Zelda’s horse, but that will not be the horse you first find. Either way, getting a horse massively helps you travel across the map and will be a priority for most players.
The map in might be smaller than its counterparts in the recent games, but it is absolutely enormous for the 2D game that it is. Compared to similar games, it is still a lot to traverse and cover, and that makes finding an easier way to traverse it that much more important. One way players can do so is by getting a horse, but they will have to complete a specific side quest to do so.
To get the first horse you can ride, you will have to start and complete the Runaway Horse Side Quest. This can be found fairly early on, as you can make it to Hyrule Field as soon as you finish the first dungeon in Suthorn Woods and open up the map in this 2D Zelda game. If you head west upon leaving Suthorn Prairie, you should be able to find Hyrule Field, and you can keep traveling west until you reach Hyrule Ranch.
