The Flash Season 8 Episode 18 Trailer Reveals Shocking Villain Return

The trailer for The Flash season 8, episode 18 reveals the shocking return of a major Arrowverse villain who hasn't appeared on the show for years. Things are starting to come full circle as The Flash season 8 has only a few episodes left to air. Like most seasons of the Arrowverse drama, things usually become more chaotic towards the very end, as Barry Allen and his team tackle their latest villain. Currently, The Flash is trying to solve Iris West-Allen's time-sickness, as Candice Patton's character went missing back in episode 14.
While Iris' time-sickness will be solved, there is still the matter of figuring out who is the newest Big Bad in The Flash season 8. The last threat Team Flash dealt with was Deathstorm, as the Arrowverse show provided a new take on the DC baddie, who first appeared in The Flash season 2. In The Flash season 8, episode 17, «Keep it Dark,» Tom Cavanagh's Eobard Thawne, a.k.a. the Reverse-Flash, made his return since the events of Armageddon. As Barry suspected Eobard to be the mysterious speedster running around, it was revealed that the Arrowverse villain was still locked away at Lian Yu.

Following The Flash season 8, episode 17, «Keep it Dark,» The CW (via TV Promos) has released a trailer for episode 18, which airs next week on Wednesday, June 15. Titled «The Man in the Yellow Tie,» the episode features the return of a major The Flash antagonist. While Cavanagh's Eobard was back this week, The Flash season 8, episode 18, will feature the original Reverse-Flash, as Matt Letscher's iteration of the DC villain appears in the footage.
