The Flash Family Unites To (Finally) Save Barry Allen

In a new preview for DC's The Flash, Wally West is assembling the Flash Family to finally rescue Barry Allen. Having taken over as the Flash of Earth-0, Wally has been holding down the fort while Barry was supposedly exploring the greater omniverse. However, Allen's been missing for quite some time in the current DC Universe. As such, the search is finally on in the new issue which will tie into the epic summer crossover Dark Crisis.
As confirmed in various prologue series to DC's Dark Crisis, Barry Allen was captured by the villain Pariah who's in service to the Great Darkness, an entity seeking to return the omniverse to the darkened state of nothingness before life and light exploded into being. As such, Barry's been living in a fantasy Flash world fashioned by Pariah to keep him content with his imprisonment (made to think that he and his family are safe and at peace).

In truth, the preview for the new Flash #783 from Jeremy Adams and Amancay Nahuelpan sees Wally West gathering the real Flash Family to rescue Barry. This includes Wallace West's Kid Flash, Jay Garrick's Flash, Max Mercury, and Jesse Quick. Having been out of contact with Barry for far too long, the time has finally come to start looking for one of DC's most iconic speedsters. As such, it looks as though Wally will travel the omniverse himself while tracking Barry's unique multiversal frequency with help from Mr. Terrific.
