While Superman is known for being a beacon of hope for the world as he represents truth, justice, and the American way, he’s actually a pretty big jerk–something that became abundantly clear after the Flash revealed his true speed.
Superman, also known as Clark Kent or Kal-El, is an alien from the planet Krypton who was sent to Earth as a baby in an effort by his parents to save his life. When he got to Earth, however, it became clear that it wasn’t he who needed saving as Clark committed himself to being the protector of Earth as the mighty Superman–using his amazing powers for good, no matter the situation. Those powers include super strength, heat vision, super breath, flight, x-ray vision, and super speed, While Superman is faster than a speeding bullet, that speed of his isn’t really all that impressive when compared to the speed of fellow Justice League member the Flash–though if one would have asked Superman, he’d say that he and the Flash are about equals.

In Flash: Rebirth #3 by Geoff Johns and Ethan Van Sciver, Barry Allen’s personal energy field became tainted by a mysteriously dark aura, one that is burning through his speed energy and is threatening his life.
