Warner Bros.' upcoming The Flash movie, starring Ezra Miller as Barry Allen, is reportedly doing well with audience members at test screenings. One of the DCEU films that has taken nearly a decade to happen is The Flash, which was first announced as part of the original Justice League slate in October 2014. When Miller was cast as the DCEU's Scarlet Speedster, The Flash movie was originally set to arrive in 2018, while their version of Barry got set up in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League. However, The Flash got stuck in development hell, with several directors and writers boarding and exiting the project over the years.
After almost eight years, the movie from director Andy Muschietti is finally getting closer to hitting theaters. The Flash, which finished production last Fall, will follow Barry as he goes back in time trying to save his mother, Nora Allen, from being killed. However, this course of action will take Barry into the DC multiverse, which is how Michael Keaton's Batman enters the DCEU. Keaton's Dark Knight will not be the only Batman in The Flash film, as Ben Affleck is also reprising his Caped Crusader from the DCEU.
