Despite their various encounters with the law, Warner Bros. is not looking to recast Ezra Miller for The Flash movie anytime soon. Miller made their DC Extended Universe debut with Justice League as Barry Allen, a metahuman with superspeed eager to help clear his father's name of having murdered his mom. The Flash will pick up sometime after the events of Justice League as Barry utilizes his power to travel back in time and stop his mom's murder, resulting in major changes to his and other timelines.
Miller is leading the cast of The Flash alongside Ron Livingston as his father Henry, replacing Billy Crudup due to scheduling conflicts, Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck returning as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Kiersey Clemons as Iris West, Michael Shannon as General Zod, Sasha Calle as Supergirl, Antje Traue as Faora-Ul and Maribel Verdú as Barry's mom Nora. Andy Muschietti is at the helm for the DCEU film with a script penned by Birds of Prey's Christina Hodson and primarily based on the Flashpoint comic storyline. Following a variety of development hiccups, The Flash is finally set to hit theaters in Summer 2023, though is still finding itself the subject of some bad attention.

With the actor remaining in the headlines in a negative light, many have taken to speculating whether Ezra Miller will remain involved with The Flash movie. A new report from Variety indicates that, despite these issues, Warner Bros. are not looking tor recast Miller as the titular superhero, with sources reporting that doing so would inherently require reshooting the entire film as they appear in nearly ever scene.
