In Zack Snyder’s planned sequels to Zack Snyder’s Justice League, Lex Luthor would have formed the Legion of Doom, which would have significantly changed Batman and The Flash’s solo movie outings. Zack Snyder had long-term plans for the DCEU film franchise, laying out multi-film character arcs for superheroes like Superman and setting up both the Knightmare future and a final confrontation between the Justice League and Darkseid in his planned Justice League sequels. For better or worse, Snyder’s involvement in DC’s films appears to be over, with the franchise shifting in a new direction with a new version of Batman which exists outside of the DCEU timeline, and 2023’s The Flash, which will bring about a major continuity shift.
