The Flash is one of many upcoming DC/Warner Bros. projects that was hit with a release date change. The upcoming film will now release in 2023 alongside Aquaman 2, but Shazam 2 will now be released earlier.
The Flash stars Ezra Miller as the titular hero of the upcoming film, which is also set to feature Ben Affleck and Michael Keaton as Batman, in addition to Sasha Calle as Supergirl. Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom will star Jason Momoa, who returns to reprise the titular role. DC has been losing and improperly firing talent, so it's good to see that these characters will be returning.

Warner Bros. has announced Aquaman 2 will be move from December 16, 2022, to March 17, 2023.Meanwhile,The Flash jumps fromNovember 4, 2022, to June 23, 2023. Furthermore, DC League of Super-Pets gets pushed back slightly from May 20 to July 29, 2022. Lastly, Black Adam gets delayed by three months, but Shazam 2 switches from June 2, 2023, to December 16, 2022.
This new slate will see four theatrical DC releases this year following the highly successful The Batman film. DC is looking to get back to its shared universe after introducing a new take on the famous caped crusader. These films will introduce more plot points for writers to go off, and one can assume that things are being moved in order to accommodate the upcoming ramifications from The Flash movie's rumored timeline corrections.
Fans are struggling to understand how everything will change and how things will start to shape up after these changes. The films will no doubt have to make some adjustments in terms of which characters are now in what universe. The upcoming films will also need to keep in mind what the television series projects do.
