Freddy Krueger actor Robert Englund recalls the grueling music video shoot Dokken had to endure for A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors. The third Nightmare on Elm Street movie was released in 1987 and is often considered the fan favorite of the franchise. The film is notable today for the introduction of a young Patricia Arquette and for also bringing back Heather Langenkamp, who played Nancy Thompson in the first Nightmare on Elm Street.
Aside from the cast, clever kills, and intriguing storyline, Dream Warriors is also fondly remembered for its catchy theme song by Dokken. The music video showed the band in Freddy's boiler room dungeon, splicing together clips of Arquette with the musicians. While Arquette didn't return to film new scenes, Englund did, with the music video showing Freddy waking up from his nightmare where the band defeats him. The music video was a fun part of the marketing campaign, but the band may not have had the greatest time filming it.
