The Balanced Plasma Battery material in can be used to craft tons of different items when you farm it. However, this resource only seems to drop sparingly from very tough missions, making it a difficult item to collect. With recent updates to the game, there have been discoveries of areas and missions where you can gather these Batteries in larger quantities than before.
The quality of life changes for in the 1.1.0 patch introduces many changes to materials in Season 1. Solo Dungeons now gives you a better opportunity to search for loot alone through new missions added to the game. With a new Descendant character as well, there's plenty to explore that may make it easier to get Balanced Plasma Batteries.
Balanced Plasma Batteries are listed as rewards for completing Infiltration Operation missions in certain areas. An Infiltration Operation mission is like a dungeon, asking you to delve into enemy territory and defeat waves of enemies. These missions typically include a boss as well, making them extensive operations where you can get several rare rewards for hard effort.
Infiltration Operation missions replay story missions in places you've already visited during the game's campaign. You can adjust the difficulty of these missions for greater rewards on your follow-up playthrough(s).
The Infiltration Operation missions you can beat for at least one Balanced Plasma Battery are in the Quarantine Zone and Heart of the Fortress areas. Beating these missions in Normal or Hard Mode in will get you the item you want regardless. That being said, those looking to farm the resource may want to stay on the easier difficulty to make it easier to finish the mission faster.
