The Boys actor Chace Crawford, who plays the Deep, reveals that he gets hate messages from Aquaman fans. First released on Amazon Prime in 2019, The Boys chronicles the exploits of a group of vigilante superheroes who abuse their powers. Acting as a Marvel and DC superhero parody, the show features heroes who kill without mercy and who often aren't afraid of the collateral damage their actions cause. The series has been a major hit with both fans and critics, and The Boys season 3 is set to be released this week on Amazon Prime Video.

The Deep possesses the power to breathe underwater and the ability to communicate with sea creatures. Unlike Aquaman, however, the Deep also has a history of sexually abusing women, and in season 1, the character forces himself onto Starlight (Erin Moriarty). In addition to Crawford and Moriarty, The Boys also features Karl Urban as Billy Butcher, Antony Starr as Homelander, Jack Quaid as Hughie, Dominique McElligott, and Jessie T. Usher as A-Train.
