The Boys has released a parody in memoriam video for the character of Timothy the Octopus. The series, which originally premiered on Prime Video on July 26, 2019, is an irreverent take on the superhero mythos, based on the DC/Wildstorm comic series of the same name. It follows a ragtag group of people led by the formidable Billy Butcher (Karl Urban) who want to bring down the unfairly celebrated group of Supes known as The Seven. The cast includes Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Laz Alonso, Elisabeth Shue, Jack Quaid, Jessie T. Usher, Chace Crawford, Tomer Capon, Karen Fukuhara, and the show's newest addition, Jensen Ackles as Soldier Boy, a Captain America parody.
Crawford's character is an Aquaman spoof known as The Deep who has the ability to communicate with marine life. His character came to the fore on the most recent episode of The Boys, which featured Starr's character Homelander forcing him to eat a live octopus. Because of his superpower, he was able to learn that the creature is named Timothy and desperately desires not to be eaten.

On the official Twitter account for The Boys, they have released a hilarious video memorializing the ill-fated cephalopod. The video, which is accompanied by the caption "Prayers and thoughts. #JusticeForTimothy," features about 20 seconds of footage of the character in the moments before being devoured by The Deep, rendered in loving black and white. It ends on a still frame of the octopus reading "Timothy, 2020-2022, Rest in Power." Check out the video below:
