Netflix has officially changed the Part 3 release date for the next installment to the sequel series of the classic sitcom That ’70s Show.
“It’s 1996 and Leia Forman is back in Point Place for another summer of fun with her friends and grandparents, Kitty and Red,” reads the show’s latest logline. “Leia and Jay are excited to be together again after nine months of long distance. But she’s on edge since Jay still doesn’t know she almost kissed Nate. Nate is concerned that his girlfriend, Nikki, doesn’t know either. How long can they keep this secret? Turns out, not long at all. And when the truth finally comes out, relationships are threatened, friendships are at stake, and the summer is on the verge of ending before it even gets started.”
Originally scheduled for an October 2024 release, That ’90s Show Part 3 will now be available for streaming two months earlier on Thursday, August 22. While waiting for new episodes, fans can first rewatch Parts 1-2 on Netflix.
The spin-off comedy features the return of Kurtwood Smith and Debra Jo Rupp as they reprise their roles as Red Forman and Kitty Forman. They are joined by Callie Haverda, Ashley Aufderheide, Mace Coronel, Reyn Doi, Sam Morelos, and Maxwell Acee Donovan. The next installment will also include Laura Prepon, Kevin Smith, Will Forte and Seth Green. It is executive produced by Gregg Mettler, Bonnie and Terry Turner, Lindsey Turner, Marcy Carsey, Tom Werner; Jessica Goldstein, Chrissy Pietrosh, Mandy Summers and Gail Mancuso.
