The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild launched on the Wii U, a swansong for that ill-fated console, while being a launch title for the Nintendo Switch. The brilliance of the game helped to jumpstart sales of the hybrid and Nintendo has not looked back. Some six years later and the Switch is the third best-selling console of all time, Breath of the Wild has been hailed as the greatest game of all time, and its successor Tears of the Kingdom is a global phenomenon.
But players might get a bit nostalgic for that earlier time, more than half a decade ago, or whenever it was when they first discovered Breath of the Wild's Hyrule and Link. Vital to that game was a key piece of equipment. That was of course Link's glider and in the new game Nintendo has hidden a lovely reference to it.

Tears of the Kingdom is big enough to hide all manner of surprises, secrets, references, and Easter eggs of course, but one of the nicest nods to the previous game occurs, aptly, at the Temple of Time. Kudos to YouTuber 5en for showing it off in their video, which you can watch below:
Getting the paraglider in Breath of the Wild is a firm memory among those who played it and in Tears of the Kingdom Nintendo nodded to it. Possible spoiler ahead for those who don't want to know what exactly can be found. In the video we can see Link climbing up the temple, getting to a ledge with high windows, before using Ascend. Ascending to another ledge with a broken window, there's a chest wherein Nintendo has hidden 'Nostalgic Fabric'. Part of the description for the item reads: "It looks like it could be used to make a paraglider".
