The Tarisland team has begun releasing details on planned changes following feedback received during recent beta tests. The first part of their changes will focus on PvE, PvP, and crafting.
Shared via Discord, the updates cover several features. On the PVE front, they are planning to add a new Challenge mode and rewards to dungeons and raids aimed at players who prefer high-difficulty PvE content. With this, there will also be adjustments made to some attributes, and affixes on equipment, to improve the variety of potential builds and otherwise add strategic depth to available options. Finally, they are planning to make the process of getting gear pieces smoother, and to reduce randomness in drops.
In PVP, the team will add a PVP badge system, and they will also add five PVP-specific talents for each class. This should also open up a wider variety of PVP strategies and builds. In 3v3 arenas, a “fair mode” is coming. What this is intended to do is to promote skill and strategy. There’s not much detail on what this will mean for gameplay yet though.
Finally, they will emphasize changes to simplify crafting. While PVE and PVP gameplay are getting expanded, with more options, crafting was proving to be a little unwieldy. Their plans are to make it more accessible and to lower the learning curve. They’ll be increasing output from resources. This should help new players in particular to not hit a wall. The team will limit some of the equipment that you can produce through crafting and some will only be able to be earned through PVE.
