Switch reclaims top spot in March for consoles sold | Japan Monthly Charts

During March in Japan, the Nintendo Switch climbed back to being the top-selling system after the PlayStation 5 took the spot in the prior month.
Famitsu's monthly retail sales data from February 27 to March 26 shows that the console sold 231,000 units across its standard, Lite, and OLED models. By comparison, Sony's PlayStation 5 hardware hit 223,000 systems sold during the four weeks.
Nintendo led with 439,000 boxed titles in software sales, outpacing Capcom's 190,000 and Koei Tecmo's 166,000 copies. Kirby: Return To Dream Land DX was the biggest-selling title of the month at 174,112 moved units.
Capcom's newly released Resident Evil 4 remake debuted at 89,662 copies sold on the PlayStation 5; meanwhile, the PlayStation 4 version of the title moved 85,371 boxed copies. Both took second and third place as top sellers in March.
Regarding physical game units sold during the period, Nintendo had the lion's share at 31.5%. Capcom was second as it commanded 13.6% of copies purchased, while Koei Tecmo was third, with the sales of its boxed titles making up 12% of the market.
