According to Unknownz21, the iPhone 15 Pro models will continue to feature physical buttons, but the Mute Switch will be replaced with an Apple Watch Ultra-like Action button. News related to solid-state buttons on the iPhone 15 Pro is going back and forth, with some sources citing technical issues. The latest suggests that the iPhone 15 Pro will no longer hours a mute slider switch as it will be replaced with a customizable button. Take note that the Action button will be mechanical.
If we take Ming-Chi Kuo's words into consideration, the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max will house the same button layout as the current iPhone 14 Pro models. What this means is that the buttons will be mechanical without additional Taptic Engines. However, if earlier reports are to be believed, we could still see solid-state buttons on the forthcoming flagship. Since the iPhone 15 launch is months away from now, Apple could alter its plans and come up with a new solution as it sees fit.
Other than the Volume and Power button, we also reported that Apple is looking to say its salutations to the Mute Switch.
