Superb Strategy RPG Unicorn Overlord Tops 1 Million Sales | Push Square
pushsquare.comReleased back in March of this year on PS5 and PS4, Unicorn Overlord has officially broken through 1 million sales — an impressive (and well deserved) benchmark for developer Vanillaware. Last we heard, the strategy RPG had shifted half a million units within a month or so, making it one of the fastest — or possibly the fastest — selling Vanillaware title to date. That's an additional 500,000 sales in the last five months, then, which bodes well.
For what it's worth, we reckon Unicorn Overlord remains one of 2024's best games. We gave it an 'excellent' 9/10 in our Unicorn Overlord PS5 review, and it'll likely be in contention for our Game of the Year awards in December.
«It's hard to say whether Unicorn Overlord is objectively Vanillaware's best game, but for us, it's right up there, competing for the crown — and that's incredibly high praise,» we wrote.

I got a PS5 copy but haven't played it yet, fingers crossed I get round to it before Xmas but not sure, not even onto Astrobot yet, the backlog is real!!!
I was genuinely shocked at how much I liked it I love how vanillaware just moves onto different genre's of games with each title and each come out so good
