Super Mario Bros Wonder is out now, and gamers have been enjoying much of what the game offers. There was a bit of a worry early on that things might be “too wacky” or “too weird” for their tastes, but it soon became clear that the game is a fountain of creativity that many gamers are definitely going to try and replicate in one form or another. However, little “oddities” made fans wonder if they wouldn’t like them. One of them is the “talking flower” that is prevalent throughout the Flower Kingdom and reacts to various things.
Basically, the flower can react to you whenever you touch it, give you clues in certain levels so you know that a Wonder Seed is around, and basically be your voice when things go crazy, thanks to the Wonder Effect. While it may have felt annoying at first, it’s one of the many things that helps lend some charm to the Flower Kingdom and the game itself.
To that end, the voice actor for the talking flower has been revealed. The post came on Threads, where voice actor Mick Wingert said:
“I am so proud to announce that I am the voice of aaaaaaall those talking flowers you meet in #SuperMarioWonder. Thank you to Nintendo America and Cup of Tea Productions for this incredible honor of joining the Mario Brothers universe.”
He’s not the only voice actor who has come out of the woodwork recently to discuss their Super Mario Bros Wonder role. The voice of the Popplins was recently revealed, as were the new voices for Mario and Luigi now that Charles Martinet isn’t doing their voices anymore. All in all, the new game has many new things that are making the title shine.
