Capcom has released the Street Fighter 6 demo on Xbox and PC platforms — The trial, which launched on PlayStation last Thursday, is now available to download from the Xbox Store and the Steam dashboard.
The demo, much like its PlayStation counterpart, gives players the opportunity to check out a few minutes of the sequel’s single-player campaign “World Tour”, which sees a custom-designed character grit their teeth and hook up with dopey Luke and his annoying friend Bosch on their quest for “Strength”. Additionally, the demo includes limited versions of the standard “Fighting Ground” modes, including Vs. battles, the bull-charging Extreme Battle, and a glimpse at the new Tutorial mode.
Players can also check out both the Classic and Modern control schemes, the latter of which offers a simpler input system for both newer and younger players. The roster for the Fighting Ground modes is locked to just Ryu and Luke, but they’re both solid characters and great for getting to grips with the new systems, including Drive Impact, Drive Rush, and Drive Parry. You should also check out the Level 8 difficulty setting, which is currently raising even pro-player eyebrows with its inherent ruthlessness.
Street Fighter 6 launches June 2 on PlayStation, PC, and Xbox platforms. In the meantime, be sure to check out our reports on the 50 things I loved in the beta, my impressions on the sequel so far, as well as the new character themes, and my suggestions on the 10 World Warriors who would fit right into the new title as post-launch DLC.
