Star Wars Outlaws, the open-world game based on the popular franchise in development by Ubisoft Massive, is going to be a rather huge game, judging from some new details straight from the development team.
Speaking with EDGE Magazine in issue #387, Creative Director Julian Gerightly commented on the size of the game's planets, saying that one is roughly equivalent to two, three zones in Assassin's Creed Odyssey, which is, still today, one of the open-world games with the biggest map. Additionally, each location is handcrafted, and no planet was procedurally generated, which is definitely good to hear.
Being an open-world game, Star Wars Outlaws will offer players full freedom of approach with it comes to encounters, which was something that was hinted at in the gameplay showcase shared last month. The same level of freedom, however, won't be there for traveling, as players will not be able to fly over planets and will be forced to land and take off only in certain areas.
Star Wars Outlaws launches sometime in 2024 worldwide on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S worldwide. We will keep you updated on the game as soon as more come in on it, so stay tuned for all the latest news.
