Star Wars Outlaws will feature Lady Qi'ra from Solo: A Star Wars Story, Massive Entertainment has confirmed. The Ubisoft-owned studio shared this revelation as part of a wider overview of its upcoming game, which coincided with the release of the latest Star Wars Outlaws trailer.
A crime lord based on the planet Corellia, Lady Qi'ra was originally introduced in the 2018 Han Solo spin-off Solo: A Star Wars Story, where she was portrayed by Game of Thrones alumni Emilia Clarke. The head of the Crimson Dawn crime syndicate had a prominent role in the movie, and has long been among the characters who were speculated to make an appearance in Star Wars Outlaws, largely based on the game's place in the series timeline.
That theory has now been officially confirmed by Massive Entertainment, whose representatives opened up on the upcoming game in the latest issue of Game Informer. Among other things, the Swedish studio revealed that Kay Vess will cross paths with Lady Qi'ra during her adventures in a galaxy far, far away. In a subsequent social media follow-up, Game Informer Online Content Director Brian Shea shared a confirmation that Emilia Clarke will not be reprising her role in the game.
Who will end up voicing the Crimson Dawn crime syndicate boss remains unclear. The fact that the Game of Thrones star isn't attached to the project may not come as a surprise to the most attentive of fans, as Clarke herself recently suggested she won't be returning to Star Wars anytime soon.
Aside from Lady Qi'ra, Massive Entertainment confirmed that Jabba the Hutt of the Hutt Cartel will also be part of the Star Wars Outlaws character cast. Whether these two returning crime lords will end up interacting with each other remains to be seen. What's more certain is that the rendition of Lady Qi'ra featured in the game will be a much more experienced character than the one seen in Solo: A Star Wars Story, which takes place approximately 15 years before the events of Star Wars Outlaws.
