Paramount+ reveals that Star Trek: Picard season 3 will reunite the entire Star Trek: The Next Generation cast for the show's final season. The Patrick Stewart-led series serves as a sequel to the beloved '90s show and explores its titular Starfleet Admiral now retired and still grappling with the death of Brent Spiner's Data in Star Trek: Nemesis and the destruction of the planet Romulus in J.J. Abrams' Star Trek. Picard sees the character pulled into a new adventure to help defend a new race of synthetic beings, including the apparent daughters of Data, Dahj and Soji.
Alongside Stewart, the cast for Star Trek: Picard includes Alison Pill, Isa Briones, Harry Treadaway, Michelle Hurd, Santiago Cabrera, Evan Evagora, Jeri Ryan, Orla Brady and Brent Spiner. Developed by Akiva Goldsman, Michael Chabon, Kirsten Beyer and Alex Kurtzman, the series has received rave reviews from critics and audiences alike for further developing its titular character and for Stewart's performance. With it also receiving solid viewership on Paramount+, previously branded as CBS All Access, Star Trek: Picard has earned a season 3 renewal, though with it set to conclude the show, the creatives look to be going all out for the final adventure.
