Which Star Trek series is best is up to debate, depending on who you ask, but the best-loved crew always seems to be the one led by Jean-Luc Picard of the U.S.S. Enterprise. For Star Trek: Picard Season 3--the show's final season--our old favorites are getting back together, Paramount announced today via the show's official Twitter.

The video above shows Captain Picard writing a letter and getting his old Federation uniform out of storage while the voices of other crew members talk about the old days and Picard's compulsion to run toward danger, followed by a shot of Jonathan Frakes and Patrick Stewart as Riker and Picard, holding phasers and getting ready to head into battle. The trailer specifically lists Levar Burton, Jonathan Frakes, Michael Dorn, Gates McFadden, Marina Sirtis, and Brent Spiner as joining the crew.
As Variety notes, a few members of the cast have already shown up in the first two seasons of Picard. Brent Spiner appeared in both Season 1 and Season 2, both as Data and as other characters. Frakes and Sirtis reprised their roles in Picard Season 1, and Whoopi Goldberg put on her Guinan garb once again in Season 2. This will be the first time the core cast has been on-screen together since 2002's Star Trek: Nemesis.
Star Trek: Picard is currently in the middle of Season 2 on Paramount+, after premiering the first episode on March 3, 2022. The latest two episodes, 5 and 6, were directed by William Riker himself, Jonathan Frakes. Season 3 is expected to begin streaming sometime in early 2023.
