As one of the most widely recognized space science fiction series known around the world, it nevertheless boggles the mind that this TV show that started in 1966 with Star Trek: The Original Series would still be receiving more adaptations and reboots today. Of course, the franchise has also been adapted into video games, with the latest being Star Trek: Resurgence, scheduled for release later this year.
What might be more surprising than the critical success of Star Trek as a brand is the relative obscurity of Star Trek video game adaptations. Unfortunately for Star Trek, eye-catching games have been few and far between.
