Spider-Man 2 Update Changes the Tobey Maguire Suit
Marvel's Spider-Man 2 has gotten a new update, and among many improvements, the fan-favorite original Tobey Maguire costume received a small but significant and most-requested change. With over 60 years of history behind the character, hardcore Spider-Man fans are very particular about suits, and while the update may feel minor, it's a big deal for many hardcore fans.
Marvel's Spider-Man 2 has been a big hit for Insomniac, Sony, and the PS5 since its release back in October 2023, with many hailing it as a masterpiece of the superhero action genre. Even though most fans have already gotten through its main story, updates have been released since launch. In fact, another way to play the game has been added in the latest update.
The particular change Spider-Man 2 players have been asking for and Insomniac has granted is the Tobey Maguire suit being even more movie-accurate when it comes to its colors. Named the «Webbed Suit» in the game, while the look definitely evoked the striking metallic aesthetic of the original Spider-Man movie trilogy's costume design, its reds and blues apparently weren't as close as possible for some fans. This newest update for the game fixes that now.
In addition to this change, the new Spider-Man 2 update also finally delivers the New Game Plus mode some players have been requesting. This mode also provides some never-before-seen suits in the game while ramping up the difficulty by increasing the characters' stat caps in the new Ultimate Levels. Along with other introductions, the New Game Plus mode also unlocks a new trophy, which should entice hardcore trophy hunters.
