One of the new characters in 2.2 is getting nerfed, according to a new leak. Version 2.2 should continue the main story in Penacony, originally set up by Version 2.0 and further explored in Version 2.1 missions. The upcoming patch’s contents are still fairly mysterious, though HoYoverse has confirmed that there are at least two new heroes being added. However, there are leaks that a third character will be made available through the rumored new Trailblazer form in – though this has not yet been teased by the developer.
The two characters revealed for Version 2.2 so far are Boothill and Robin. The former has been teased as he calls Acheron, though only his voice can be heard in the call that was actually picked up by Black Swan. For comparison, HomDGCat’s leak mentions that March 7th’s attack reaches up to 14.4m, while Bronya’s is set at 14m, and Qingque’s strike reaches 12m. The comparison with Qingque in, in fact, led to some mockery of Boothill in the comment section of the Reddit post.
“Even with the nerf, Boothill continues to be a long-distance attacker and his new leaked range still gives him the upper hand when initiating combat.”
There, users mentioned that Boothill’s firearm is fairly inefficient as it will be similar to the range of a mahjong tile being thrown by Qingque. While the nerf to Boothill’s attacks in the overworld does not make sense from a logical
