Although this offer comes with some notable caveats, its proposed savings blow the recent Lunar New Year sale of the Xbox Series S out of the water.
Microsoft's budget-friendly console dropped by up to $50 over the 2022 holiday season, depending on the retailer, with the company then one-upping that record-low price by an extra $10 in late January. This newly introduced deal nearly triples those savings but is only available to Verizon customers in the United States, where it's being offered as the latest perk of the Verizon Up loyalty program.

Taking advantage of this Xbox Series S discount hence requires downloading and logging into the Verizon mobile app. From there, the carrier's customers can navigate to the Verizon Up section to claim a promo code that can be applied to halve the console's price during checkout from the company's online store. User reports on social media state the code is only valid until March 31, whereas Verizon's own terms of service reveal the offer itself might also be cut short if the supplies don't last. That might very well happen, given recent reports claiming Xbox sales are currently at an all-time high, irrespective of any limited-time discounts.
Either way, this deal should not be mistaken with a newly introduced Verizon promo allowing any U.S. customer to get the Xbox Series S at $50 off via the company's online storefront. Unsurprisingly, the half-off code available as a Verizon Up perk cannot be combined with that sale, either. Anyone
