Capcom has released a new trailer for Exoprimal, showing off a fresh batch of time-travelling narrative and showing off new gameplay. Exoprimal will release on 14th July across Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4 and PC. It will be available on day one with Xbox Game Pass.
Want to see what this game’s about? An open beta test will be held later this month from 17th – 19th March. This will feature cross-platform matchmaking.
There’s some weird stuff going on in Exoprimal’s story, that’s for sure, with an all-powerful AI seemingly responsible for summoning massive hordes of dinosaurs for you to fight. And now there’s something about rescue the sister of one of the characters? And parallel dimensions?
That’s pretty wild…
The dino-blaster is a semi-competitive online co-op multiplayer game, with different exosuit classes for your team composition to consider, and a Dino Survival mission that builds up to a battle against a rival team of fighters.
Less wild than the story is the inclusion of a free and premium battle pass and plans for seasonal content. Also pre-order cosmetic bonuses.
We got to go hands on with Exoprimal last year during an early Steam-based closed network test. In our Exorpimal Preview, Dom said:
“Capcom love a spot of multiplayer gaming, but their history with such things isn’t always as consistent as you’d hope. Will Exoprimal shine alongside Monster Hunter? Served regularly with loving updates, and huge additional DLC? Or will it be more like Resident Evil Survive? Left to rot like Raccoon City’s undead inhabitants? Exoprimal has a heap of things going for it, even if they’ve been cribbed from other games. I can’t wait to try more.”
Luckily you won’t have to wait long, Dom!
